OUR STORY

Thanks for the visit.  We’re Matt and Cory, “The Blokes”.  We’re  couple to chefs who connected over the ubiquitous Chinese chicken about 15 years ago, and have been sharing a friendship and love of food ever since. 

 

We are down to earth hard working Kiwi boys with a desire to shake up the event catering world and rebrand street food. With a passion for quality food that is unpretentious but modern, moreish and familiar.

 

Combined us “Blokes” have over 40 years of experience (both home and away) for you to call on to ensure an you get something a little unique, whether it is on the street, at a market or corporate event, even on your big day “The blokes” will keep you wanting more.  Cough... splutter... urgh… we have also picked up a the odd award along the way. 

 

We look to support local communities, local producers and artisans wherever possible and always deliver with a desire to produce a quality natural product to the masses.

 

Oh, you might also be wondering about the name.  Like Max and Caroline, we believe we have something a bit special to offer and are following our dream.  And like most chefs, we’re out-and-out foodies - our passion is driven by our craft rather than making millions.
